Working with a team, responsible for managing the design, content and structure of BIOTRONIK’s training, education and certifications programs and ensuring consistency across training content.

Work with all members of the Training Department as well as cross functionally with Marketing, Product Management, and Regulatory.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

Work with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to develop learning objectives for programs

Ensure that all presented material (e-learning modules, presentations, customer tools, etc.) are updated and consistent with current product iteration, procedure and technique, and software versions

Ensures training and certification materials are consistent with sales and marketing messaging

Design and implement testing and e-learning assessment tools

Develop and manage material for online customer training, internal e-learning, field-team training, presentations and customer learning/reference aids which facilitate the use of BIOTRONIK objectives

Work with outside consultants and contractors to accomplish content management objectives

Manage delivery of all final content, in multiple formats, and ensure its appropriately routed for approvals and posted in proper locations

Update and maintain certification handbooks

Advise BIOTRONIK teams on best practice recommendations to promote learning and retention across a wide range of audiences and programs using e-learning tools and video/motion graphics solutions


KENT STATE UNIVERSITY – Kent, OH – August 2012 to December 2015

Instructor with the College of Visual Communication Design. Instructor for Kinetic and Motion Graphics, Advanced Graphic Design, Web/Interactive and Visual Design Literacy. Developed course content for on-line and on-ground courses in addition to teaching classes.

Sole proprietor of graphic design and video production company. Art Director, Graphic Artist, Copywriter, Producer, Director, Cinematographer and Motion Graphic Artist for my own company, Creative Director over staff ranging from 3 to 8 employees/contractors. Sold company in 2016 to the Karcher Group.

WRL ADVERTISING – Canton, OH – October 2003 to January 2012

Motion Graphics Director for the creative department. Responsibilities included writing, producing, filming, editing, and outputing digital video content for media outlets, corporate video, training video, and video presentations. Also graphic design for print, web, and multimedia.

Cinematographer/Graphic Designer

THREAD INFORMATION DESIGN – Toledo, OH – February 2002 to October 2003

Junior Graphic Designer for the art department and cinematographer. Duties included designing for print, web, multimedia, and also all shooting, editing, and motion graphics for video. Responsible for facilitating projects from initial concepts to final output, meeting customer requirements.

Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology, BGSU (2/01 to 2/02) Video/Motion/Graphic Designer Contract employee for the Digital Streaming Infrastructure Project. Integrated new software and hardware to meet faculty requirements for streaming video and Blackboard classroom development. Guided faculty and students in capturing, editing, compression, workflow process for web and video production. Upgraded and calibrated workstations and Mac OS suites, researched and implemented streaming media servers. Digital video/web/compression consultant, editor, and compositor. Instructor for workshops.
